Is your success by chance or by choice? In this video I want to share with you some easy ways to determine that.
One of my goals in this journey of personal development is to determine what the minimum amount is that someone can do without putting a whole lot of effort into something, whether it be a great relationship, a business, health, or even balance in our lives. Today I want to explore, what is the fewest amounts of tools that we need to be successful and create the lives we dream of?
Why do we do what we do? It always goes back to what we learned at the beginning when we were children.
A child does not do what you want them to do. They don’t learn when you tell them what to do or how to act. You can’t tell a child to respect themselves. That is not how they learn.
If you are like me you have to have good productive days.
Instead of being victim by outside circumstances, or having your mind wandering, you can create an amazing and focused day for yourself.
So take a look at what you do in a day. Do you have your day already laid out to have a super productive day?
When I’m watching the 2016 Olympics, I find it exciting and fascinating when someone breaks the world record. So today I want to talk about the mindset of an Olympian and how we can have the same mindset in our live to break our own records.
How do these athletes keep breaking records? How do they keep destroying records when many people thought it cannot be broken?
There was a paradigm or view point in the 50’s where everybody figured out that the human body cannot run a mile under 4 minutes because no one had ever done it. It was a perspective, point of view or idea. And when we take that idea and make it a fact, that’s when it runs everything.
One of my passions is talking about the topic of how to raise children in a way where you have the best odds of your kid turning out the best way, children with high self-esteem and even children that can handle challenges or when it gets really hard out there.
When I had my child, because of a divorce with my wife, I raised by daughter Mackenzie as a single father. I didn’t have a dad myself when I was growing up, but here I was with a child thinking, how do I raise her with work and everything else going on in my life? So that shifted my direction and focus to figuring out how to raise a child.
If you have a child that is struggling, unmotivated, or uninterested in school, or really in any specific aspect of their life, we have to make sure to inform them about a very special three letter word.
That three letter word is WHY.
If your child does not like something, then they do not understand the value of it. You have to explain to the child why you are putting the child through this. What is the value?
If you can get your child to see how valuable something is for their future, they will go from being uninterested, to being excited about it.
For example, there was a child that loved hockey. The child said he absolutely did not like math and did not want to do math. His teacher asked him to draw out all the shapes in hockey. The child drew all the different shapes, and when he was done the teacher explained that if he wanted to REALLY understand and excel in hockey, he has to know math. Then he automatically looked at his mom and said “I want to learn math.”
Sit down and explain the value of the subject or activity that the child is engaged in, and WHY they are doing it and see the transformation of your child’s view on that subject.

Thanks for tuning in!
One thing that I’ve seen that leads to unhappiness is when our identity is tied to our results or what we do at work. For example, “Is my identity a mother raising children?”, “Is my identity a father?”, “Is my identity look at the job I have”, “Look at the house I have”… Is that my identity?
What I’ve found working with a lot of people is that as long as that is the majority of one’s identity then it is very hard to be happy. Because if my identity is outside of myself then I have to put so much energy into that working, and there is such a fear about all of that collapsing because that is your identity so you feel like you have to make it work.
This message is not do something different or quit what you are doing. I am just asking you to reflect on “Who are you? What is your identity?” Do you have a job or does the job have you?
You are here for a reason. You have a purpose. You bring a talent to this world, and can do it better than anybody else. You have a specific message and purpose, that’s why you are here. The journey is to find out what your purpose is. If you have a message for the world..then what is it?
Is fear stopping you from achieving your dreams?
If you have something to say in this world or if you have a passion or dream, you are either going to view it as a threat or opportunity. Whenever your mind goes to something that is threatening we are programmed to pull back and stay safe. That’s our DNA. That’s our programming.
You were created with a unique passion, purpose, and message to share with everyone on this earth. This video is about How To Kill Your Dreams, and what you can do to change your mindset to live out your dreams.
Here are my top 3 dream killers…
